Now renamed to “Duncan”, this cute boy was in foster care for quite a while but now they’ve made it official… Duncan has a new forever home!

This incredibly handsome little man is an Old English Game Bantam/White Silky cross and is approximately 6 months old.  He was accidentally bred by his current owner (her clever hen hid her nest of little eggs) and so although he was not planned, he has been a loved member of the poultry family.  Unfortunately, as is the case with all roosters, he is growing up now and starting to assert his manly ways – which means he is constantly fighting with the other two resident roosters and harassing the girls a bit too much.

Lady Boy (thus named because he is such a pretty little dude) has no other vices, he is a friendly and healthy boy who loves cuddles and will wow you every day with his stunning display of handsomeness.  He simply needs a home where he can be the man of the coop, somewhere he can watch over his own group of hens without having to worry about competing with any other fellows and will be protected, loved and cherished by his human friends.  Could this be with you?

  • An adoption fee of $20 applies, this will be payable to Animal Actionist Ltd – our registered farm animal rescue charity – to help us to continue to help animals find great homes.

A BIG thank you to 100 Loyal Faces for some of the stunning photos featured below!

Please fill in our EXPRESSION OF INTEREST form if you would like to offer to adopt.

* Animal Actionist promotes non breeding of all rescued animals, particularly in the interest of breaking the cycle of unwanted farm animals (most of them males,) that find themselves with little time to find a new home and end up in danger of slaughter. All farm animals adopted via Animal Actionist are intended as family pets, and therefore the same rules that apply for non breeding of cats and dogs, applies to these animals too. If you apply to adopt you thereby agree and are bound to not use these birds for breeding.

All suitable applications are forwarded to the current custodian for consideration, and you will be contacted as soon as possible to discuss your offer further. Please understand that it may take a few days for us to respond to you depending on the amount of applications received, and it is never a case of first come, first served with animal adoptions, as we have to do our best to locate the absolute best homes for the animals. If you have any problems or further queries, please contact Animal Actionist direct via the “contact us” link. Thank you so much for caring for animals.
