Greg found a wonderful home at Paradise Pastures Sanctuary. Thank you Bobby and co!!

Gregory is a self possessed and inquisitive goat who needs our help. His current family are moving away from their acreage into an area that doesn’t allow the keeping of large animals, so they are regretfully reaching out to us to help them find him a loving home. Here’s the story from Joan:

About 9 years ago, I was asked if I could look after a 2 week-old male baby goat. A vet nurse had rescued him from his malnourished mother, who’d given birth to twins and was only feeding his sister. At the time, we were living in Jandakot on 5 acres, near Jandakot airport and we had the space to keep him. We had him neutered when he was a few months old… and he has no known medical issues which… the vet can confirm.
Although Gregory is my pet goat, he’s not the sort of pet goat you’d leave playing with your kids and he can be quite intimidating as he is a large goat. I am able to manage him OK, though. This will restrict the homes that he could go to.”

It would be great to find this guy a super loving and happy home, especially if he could have some goat friends to keep him company and room to roam and do goat things.

NAME: Gregory

AGE: Approximately 9.5years

BREED: Unsure

HEIGHT: 100cm to shoulder (approx.)

WEIGHT: 60kg approx

TEMPERAMENT: Inquisitive and sometimes a little boisterous. He gets very enthusiastic at meal times. He play fights by rearing up but doesn’t deliver a hard bunt. Basically – he’s a true goat.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: Due to his size and desire to play – Gregory would do really well with other goats so that he can focus his play and dominance on them, and to give him companionship. He is not recommended as a petting goat.

ADOPTION FEE: $70 (negotiable with the right home)

We hope you can help us to help this lovely boy.. please fill in the Expression of Interest form below if you would like to know more, or offer to adopt.

* Animal Actionist promotes non breeding of all rescued animals, particularly in the interest of breaking the cycle of unwanted farm animals (most of them males,) that find themselves with little time to find a new home and end up in danger of slaughter. All farm animals adopted via Animal Actionist are intended as family pets, and therefore the same rules that apply for non breeding of cats and dogs, applies to these animals too. If you apply to adopt you thereby agree and are bound to not use this animal for breeding.

All suitable applications are forwarded to the current custodian for consideration, and you will be contacted as soon as possible to discuss your offer further. Please understand that it may take a few days for us to respond to you depending on the amount of applications received, and it is never a case of first come, first served with animal adoptions, as we have to do our best to locate the absolute best homes for the animals. If you have any problems or further queries, please contact Animal Actionist direct via the “contact us” link. Thank you so much for caring for animals.
