UPDATE: We were unable to find the right home for these special girls. So Little One and Pooz have recently been given a new home at Possum Valley Animal Sanctuary, not too far from their original home. Where they will enjoy the rest of their days together.

Little One and Pooz are two adorable old girls who have found themselves in a pickle. They were originally purchased and bred as pets to keep the grass down, and both have done a beautiful job of fulfilling their roles for their owner. Sadly, Mark is now selling his acreage and the new owners do not want the girls to stay. The bad news is we need to find them somewhere safe and loving before the 8th of February 2017!

The white girl has some issues with arthritis and they are a bonded pair so it would be perfect if we could find them a home together and with owners who can take care of arthritis issues. Both girls are used to sharing a paddock with sheep.

Little One & Pooz will be vaccinated and treated for parasites before handover to their new family and an adoption fee of $120 applies (negotiable with the right home).

NAME:   Little One & Pooz

AGE:   18 & 19

BREED:   Murray Greys

DESEXED:   No (not adoptable for breeding)

TEMPERAMENT:   Quiet and friendly

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:   URGENT PLACEMENT! Both are getting older and one has arthritis so these cows would be best placed together, but not with other cattle to avoid injuries. They do however enjoy the company of sheep.

ADOPTION FEE:   $120 for both

We hope you can help us to help these lovely cows, please fill in the Expression of Interest form below if you would like to know more, or offer to adopt.

Please fill in our EXPRESSION OF INTEREST form if you would like to ask questions or offer to adopt.

* Animal Actionist promotes non breeding of all rescued animals, particularly in the interest of breaking the cycle of unwanted farm animals (most of them males,) that find themselves with little time to find a new home and end up in danger of slaughter. All farm animals adopted via Animal Actionist are intended as family pets, and therefore the same rules that apply for non breeding of cats and dogs, applies to these animals too. If you apply to adopt you thereby agree and are bound to not use this animal for breeding.

All suitable applications are forwarded to the current custodian for consideration, and you will be contacted as soon as possible to discuss your offer further. Please understand that it may take a few days for us to respond to you depending on the amount of applications received, and it is never a case of first come, first served with animal adoptions, as we have to do our best to locate the absolute best homes for the animals. If you have any problems or further queries, please contact Animal Actionist direct via the “contact us” link. Thank you so much for caring for animals.

if you can’t find somewhere and are able to transport them, I’ll take them on my property in Narrogin (125 acres)

    1. Hi Kath. Thank you for your offer. Please fill in the expression of interest form to lodge your interest so we can share with the owners. Thanks so much!

  2. Hellooo, we have recently relocated to our 25 acres in Grandchester, Queensland with the intention of making it a “pernament” home for animals in need. I am a registered wildlife carer in Darwin with my focus being birds, reptiles and mammals. I will be transferring my registration over shortly. My aim is to relocate specifically cows in need of a pernament home and be our pets and a part of our lives.
We are fenced and working on much more contained spaces for those needing it but really want to make a start with these two moos. If we don’t have success with Little One and Poos, could we register our home for any others that may need a forever home ? Thanks and cheers, Nicki

    1. Hi Nicki. Thank you for your offer. This sounds great however interstate transportation is something we are reluctant to put animals through plus not viable for us financially. Having said that, if you are in a position to cover transportation costs and would like to still be considered for this and/or other placements, please fill in the expression of interest form attached to this post. Thanks so much for your interest and care. X
